Sobuj Boron

‘Sobuj Boron‘ is a program which is a part of our environmental awareness campaign. We setup the project with two different activities. Primarily, tree plantation program, but as we have limited bandwidth and capability of planting trees, we chose for sapling distribution program.

Tree Plantation Program:

The Society planted  over 30 deodar trees, 1 Kadam tree, and 2 Chatim trees in the circumference of Jara High School ground on 5th June 2021. After plantation, the challenging part was proper maintenance of the trees. Our members put fences to protect the sapling from domestic animals. Waters, insecticide, and fertilizer has been applied to the trees at regular intervals.

    We planted five deodhar trees with proper fencing at Sri Ramakrishna Shishu Sikkha Niketan play ground on 5th June 2022 in the occasion of World Environment Day like last year. Some snapshots of this project work are as follows,

Tree Distribution Program:     Our team doesn’t have plenty of spaces where we can plant a lot of trees. That’s why our team distributed over 500 saplings of different types in three different places. We have given a WhatsApp number to the distributee along with the sapling and requested them to send one snapshot of the plantation of the sapling. As the distribution held during the pandemic period, we have also distributed face masks . We are very pleased that we got a remarkable response from the distributee.
