Sanand

The main festive season of West Bengal start with Durga Puja and continues till Bhai Dooj. During that period, there is a tradition amongst Bengalis that everybody wears new dresses. But what if, poverty becomes a constraint to maintain that tradition for some parents and their children are not able to get new clothes, the festival is not completed as a social human beings. By keeping the above facts in mind, our team started a project called “SANAND“. The main objective of this program is to put a pleasant smile on the face of poor children by giving some new cloths and gifts.

Sanand – 2021     In this year, our team reached out to find economically backward areas in Paschim Medinipur and adjacent districts. After a rigorous survey, we found over 600 children belonging to economically backward families from age 1 to 12 in ten different villages of three different districts. This survey was also done for another social welfare group named ‘MEGHFERI FOUNDATION’. They distributed in three villages and the remaining seven were served by our team. We provided a new dress and a packet of cooked food to all the children. The details of the program are tabulated below.
